The LC3 is committed to facilitating the use of LC3 data by the wider research community for research within its scientific mandate. Investigators who are interested in accessing the LC3 data are invited to contact Mattias Johansson (johanssonm@iarc.who.int) and Hilary Robbins (robbinsh@iarc.who.int) to assess whether the proposed research is feasible using the data that have been harmonized within the LC3 Database. After the feasibility is assessed, investigators complete the LC3 Data Access Proposal form, which includes information about the investigator’s team; the background, aims, and methods of the proposed project; the cohorts and variables requested; the project timeline; and specification of any conflicts of interest. The completed LC3 Data Access Proposal form should be sent to johanssonm@iarc.who.int, robbinsh@iarc.who.int, and LC3@iarc.who.int. The proposal will be evaluated by the LC3 Access Committee for alignment with the LC3 scientific mandate, scientific relevance and feasibility, and potential overlap with other ongoing analyses within the LC3. After approval from the committee, the cohorts from which data are requested can choose to participate in the proposed analysis or not.
The LC3 data can be accessed only remotely, and accepted proposals are obliged to follow the LC3 Access Policy and Authorship Rules for any publication arising from the use of LC3 data.
